The Flipped Learning Academy prepared higher education instructors and faculty to create a flipped college course. The objectives of the project were to provide 30 UNC faculty with opportunities to create robust and effective flipped learning environments. We provided professional development and resources to participating faculty through workshops and one-on-one mentoring of best practices. The goal was for each participant to create and assess the effectiveness of one flipped class during their first semester of participation and implement this flipped classroom the next time they teach the course. This included lecture videos, active and dynamic in-class activities, and assessment instruments to gauge effectiveness. The outcome will be a flipped learning environment that creates a more engaged, energetic and effective learning experience for UNC students.

2018 Conference: We are excited to announce the 3rd Annual Higher Education Flipped Learning Conference will be on the University of Northern Colorado campus in Greeley, Colorado on June 14-15, 2018.

2016 Conference: The Flipped Learning Academy hosted the first annual Higher Education Flipped Learning Conference on June 8-10, 2016 on the campus of the University of Northern Colorado, in Greeley, Colorado.
